Christine Griffin
Christine began her career in financial services 44 years ago when she joined the Ashbourne branch of the Leek United Building Society. Initially recruited as a Cashier, over the next 20 years she worked her way up to becoming Branch Manager (the first ever female Manager for the Society) and then Area Manager for Ashbourne and Buxton branches.
In 2004, Christine decided to leave the building society to set up her own mortgage advice business, starting the business at home and later taking on the Halifax Agency in Ashbourne which she ran alongside the mortgage business. In 2015 Katie, Christine’s daughter joined the company, was trained by Christine and soon became qualified as a Mortgage Broker. Christine retired from the business in 2022, and it has been very successfully run by Katie Starbuck since then.

Katie has worked in the financial services industry for 9 years, during which time she has gained an enormous amount of knowledge in all aspects of residential and buy to let mortgages. Katie started her career in the family mortgage brokering business with her Mum, Christine Griffin, and has since taken over the family business. Her committed approach to clients and their needs has meant that she has successfully built relationships with Christine Griffin’s longstanding clients as well as adding many new and loyal clients to their list.
